I am working on CitationDesk, a Mac app for academic writing and reference management.

The idea is not to clone Zotero or Mendeley. Those tools are powerful, but they often start with the library. CitationDesk starts with the assignment. The workflow is school → course → assignment → sources → notes → writing desk → APA/MLA/Chicago/IEEE citations → Word export.
